This letter of introduction and attached resume are to express my interest in pursuing accounting or bookkeeping employment with your organization.  I am seeking a challenging association that will last at least several years and provide opportunities for professional progression in this field.  My experience in retail management and computerized accounting and bookkeeping have provided me with the background needed to excel as an accountant and a team member.

Here are some of my qualities that exemplify how I can benefit your company.

• I was solely responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and bookkeeping functions associated with a retail business for over eight years, during which time I prepared payroll tax returns, computerized and maintained its accounting and point-of-sale inventory systems and trained teams of sales counselors.
• I have tutored university students in financial and managerial/cost accounting and other business-related subjects for several years and assisted in computer labs teaching Microsoft Office software and web page design.
• I have been a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant, served on the Internal Audit committee of Beta Alpha Psi's Gamma Omicron chapter (CSU Fresno), accounted for overhead labor cost flows in a professional accounting office and established several computerized office and bookkeeping networks.
