| Notes for Francisco CAPÓ YLLÁS | ||||
| The long history of the Capós is framed in Venezuela. During the times of liberator Simón Bolívar, the revolutionary Capós and the reactionary Capós confronted each other. Two of the latter fled to Guayama, Puerto Rico, around 1820. It is said that Balbas Capó, another relative, years later would reject North American citizenship and challenge Luiz Muñoz Rivera to a duel. | ||||
