61Concepción Colón Lebrón served in both the U. S. Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines as a second class cook. According to his military records, he enlisted in the Coast Guard on 18 Sep 1945 and was honorably discharged on 31 Dec 1945, during which time he served aboard the USS Louis McLane.
